Triệu Việt Vương, originally named Triệu Quang Phục, was a general under Lý Nam Đế who led troops against the Liang invaders and was entrusted with full military command, and who according to legend received a dragon claw as a weapon from Chữ Đồng Tử riding a dragon at Nhất Dạ swamp, enabling him to drive out foreign invaders, reclaim the country, and proclaim himself Triệu Việt Vương.
